Law of Attraction for Recovery

I posted this as a comment on the following blog post. Packing Up the Trauma. Wanted to share it because it captures a lot of my truth. I plan to do a video on LOA and Recovery soon...

"I see a clear vision of my healed self. I call it the Vortex. Abraham Hicks. Law of Attraction has had a huge impact on my recovery. Lists of positive aspects. Gratitude. Getting in touch with your desires and needs. Getting into the “feeling” place of what is wanted. HUGE. I now know I can have anything I want, and that my life is a manifestation of what is inside. That I am the creator of my reality. My feelings about things fuel my world and create what happens to me. If you can believe it, you can achieve it. If you’re not achieving it, it means you don’t believe it.

One must only focus on what is wanted, and allow abundance to flow. The resistance is the negative core beliefs–the wobble. Anything that is aligned with source is positive and good. When you feel negative emotion it is because you’re not aligned with source, in fact, this is a key indicator. Negative emotion is anti-source, anti-truth. For the truth is you are love and you are light. Unconditional love. And as child abuse survivors, our task is to remove the barriers to the truth that is within… If you don’t know where you’re going, you never get there… you are in default. Knowing what you want and getting into the vibrational match of it is the ultimate way to get out of the shell, in MHO."

My Thoughts on Abraham Hicks

Abraham Hicks. Many may wonder about my fascination with this "woman." For a long time I shunned her work because I felt it was abase, based upon my Christian, Biblical background. There came a point, however, when I ventured to hear one of her videos without judgment.

It took me a great while to be able to listen without judgment. My Super Ego so strong within my psyche. But one day, after much interpersonal battle, I was released in my own mind to push play on one of her YouTube videos on Pinterest.

There I experienced an outpouring of one of her renowned (among her followers) "Appreciation Rampages." Being a skeptic, I was instantly intrigued by her certainty and confidence--not to mention the pure truth which resonated from her soul. How could this be? It was against everything I'd ever been taught. Taboo. Evil. Or so they say.

Time progressed and I had more questions than I had answers. This quest for truth (and personal healing) pushed me beyond the borders of the acceptable, while at the same time my own mind opened up beyond the borders peer approval. I gained the courage to glance again at what I once thought to be a "pillar of salt."

Within her videos and teachings I have found a truth that has not been presented to me in so clear a fashion. Fascinated by her cognitions, I integrated the simple steps into my life and saw immediate, irrefutable proof that what she's teaching is pure truth.

She is on the leading edge of creation. Not everyone is ready for such. I was ready. I needed it, not only for well being, but just to survive. I needed the cognitive restructuring that her truths offer. I will continue to learn from her until I am personally released.

Jesus says, "You will know them by their fruit." Matt 7:16  This fruit is ripe and absolutely undeniable--if you dare to taste it.  Though it might not suit the conformity of the mega-church, it definitely helps me day-to-day. No guts, no glory.

I don't care that she's says she's channeling. This is not the point. She could be channeling Scoobie Doo for all I care.  I think that's the barrier to entry, so to speak. You've got to be open minded enough not to be appalled by the taboo of her so-called origins. If you can't get beyond that, you surely won't understand her very simplistic teachings about how the world really works. Personally, I don't give a shit. I just know, this bitches shit works. It really, really works.

And that's what matters to me. And that's the way I live my life. I don't give a crap if it fits your doctrine. I don't give a crap what her doctrine is. What I do care about is can I take it to the bank? Do your words, your truths, your information help me to feel better, to live a better life, to love more, to be a better person??? That's more important to me than all the jibber-jabberish in the world. And to Abraham Hicks, I say, ALL KUDOS. Thank you, I am forever in your debt.

Try Easy

Like attracts like. If you're struggling, you attract struggle. If you're anxious, you attract more anxiety. If you're worried, you bring onto yourself the very things you're worried about. Energy follows intention. What you focus on is what you bring into your life. The key is getting to the place of EASE. Ease, relaxation, comfort, joy, bliss. It is from this high-flying place that you allow the things you want to happen. It's from your place of elation that you attract more of the same. It's okay to spend money on yourself. It's okay to enjoy the fruits of your labors. It's okay to buy nice things. The feeling you gain from the energy that is generated propels you to even greater feelings of contentment and success. The key is to do whatever it takes to GET OUT of the place of struggle, worry, anxiety and striving and GET INTO the place of ease, comfort and relaxed confidence. That's where the magic happens. You've got to feel it first--then it comes into being.

Wow. So True

You have more harmony points with every person on the planet than you have disharmony points, because there is much more of you that is in harmony with your Core than you realize or that most of you allow. The closer you come to being in harmony with your Source Energy, the more in harmony you are with each other. When you think about other people and what they think of you, do you understand that what they think of you has very little to do with what you are? It has mostly to do with the habits of thought that they have developed. It has more to do with them as thinkers than it does with you as the subject of their thought. If nothing is more important to you than that you feel good, you can form a fantasy about someone who is in your life and they will begin to modify to meet your fantasy, because Law of Attraction is a very powerful thing. -Abraham
